The Sofort was designed in kid and parent friendly colors, in fabrics you can machine wash, using foam made right here in Canada.

We are a family owned business from right here on the prairies in Winnipeg! We started Sofort because most toys and kid's products just weren't cutting it - our kids would get bored of them quickly, many of them didn't last, and beyond that it was such a pain to have to put them all away and hide them when people came over. We wanted something that was fun, versatile, and wouldn't be an eyesore, so we started to put together our own version of a kid's play couch that we want to grow into a lifestyle brand that will offer a suite of products that are fun and useful for kids and parents alike. The Sofort is great for parents and children of all ages! Crawling age infants love to lay on it and climb it and older kids will love it for sleepovers, reading nooks, and fort building. Parents love it for its stylish colors that can fit in with any room or decor, and for the much needed break they'll get while their kids are occupied!

Yes! We sell all 9 of our signature colors separately as covers so that you can have a backup, one for when the first one is being washed, or just to have a second option for different rooms in your house. You can shop covers here . 

Unfortunately, at this time local pickup is not an option. If this changes in the future we will let you know - we want to make the Sofort as affordable as possible so we will always look for new ways to deliver our products to you as quickly and affordably as possible. 

We make the Sofort via bulk orders, so if one colour falls out of stock particularly quickly it might not be back for a number of weeks. We always send out alerts when colours are running low, so we recommend that if you have your eye on a particular colour that you act fast!

Each Sofort consists of 4 separate pieces, containing 6 pieces of foam.

When laid flat, the two base cushions measure 33" deep x 66" long x 5.5", the two support cushions are 33" deep x 66" long x 2.75" tall, and the two two triangular cushions are 14" deep x 14" tall x 23" long. The flat cushions are connected in the middle and secured with a handle for easy pulling, moving, stacking, and building!

We design, buy our foam, cut, upholster, and pack every Sofort right here in Canada. We try to make as much of our products locally as possible. Currently our Sofort covers are cut and sewn overseas through a trusted partner we have worked with for many years - so you can rest assured that your couch cover will last! Making the covers overseas offers us access to an unparalleled array of options for fabrics and production at a scale we cannot yet achieve in Canada. As we grow, we plan to offer covers that are fully Canadian made as well.

Every Sofort is made from high quality, open cell polyurethane foam from right here in Canada. We care about safety, so the foam contained in each Sofort is CertiPUR-US certified - a high industry standard that means it contains no flame retardants, harmful chemicals, or anything else you wouldn't want in your home! The foam specs for the density are listed below - we chose foam specifically so that it could support your child's weight when climbing, as well as making it comfortable enough to relax on.

Base Cushion: 1.8 lb/ft4 and ILD of 45

Top Cushions: 1.5 lb/ft3 and ILD of 35

Triangles: 1.8 lb/ft3 and ILD of 45

The covers are made of a high quality, stretchy, microsuede fabric with a velvety soft feel that is durable and perfect for holding the pieces together in various configurations to limit slipping! Microsuede is a synthetic fabric made from polyester that we love for its easy care, water resistance, and light weight. 

Of course! We believe in the quality of our products - each cover is made and sewn with high strength thread, genuine YKK zippers, quality fabrics, and reinforced handles so you or your little ones can move your Sofort anywhere in your home.

Each piece of foam is cut to size and spec to our high standards, so if your experience with our product isn't what you expected please let us know. 

If you encounter a manufacturing defect within the first month of owning your Sofort, we'll cover any fixes for up to one month from your purchase date. Please submit photos and a description of the issue you are experiencing to hello@sofort.ca

Unfortunately, our warranty does not extend to instances of misuse, negligence, improper cleaning or care, rips or tears in the fabric, or any commercial use of our products. 

Yes! Accidents happen so we want your cover to be able to look brand spankin' new as easily as possible. Microsuede is incredibly easy to clean - most stains (even ones that look bad) can be quickly spot cleaned the same way you clean your carpets.

If a stain is persistent the covers can be removed. Take care when removing the covers as forcing it too much can strain the seams, but once its off it should be machine washed cold  and hung dry to prevent shrinkage and to keep the colors looking fresh and vibrant. 

We recommend always attempting to spot clean the cover prior to removing it and washing it as it will save you time, effort, and unnecessary wear and tear on the entire cover. 

Always take care when changing the covers and ensure they are fully unzipped and ready to remove to avoid undue stress on the zippers. 

While the cover itself offers some water resistance and is easy to clean - the foam and fabri are not waterproof and you should do your best to avoid bringing it into contact with liquids for prolonged periods of time. 

By all means, but please keep it to dry surfaces like patios and decks and avoid leaving it outdoors as contact with direct sunlight can fade the fabric over time.

We only accept returns on unopened, unused Sofort products. In these instances, return shipping is covered by the customer and return requests must be made within 2 weeks of your order being delivered. 

If you received your product and believe that it has a defect, you received the wrong item, or has some other problem please let us know at hello@sofort.ca and we will take care of you ASAP!

Yes - we ship everywhere in Canada at our standard shipping rate! 

Yes! We offer a standard shipping rate to the continental United States, so rest assured you can order if you're one of our neighbours down South. Customs duties may apply and are the responsibility of the purchaser. 

Orders will be processed and begin the shipping process on the next business day.

Shipment times vary, but we always aim to use the fastest fulfillment option we have - usually that means that your Sofort will arrive 3-5 days after it ships!
